Gordon was a good friend of mine (Martin Ough Dealy) during early boyhood and then at Jamaica College. He was a keen Boy Scout and the following are photos taken at boy scout camp near Dunn's River falls in Jamaica. The last photo is of Douglas Tucker who was Gordon's uncle the photos date from about 1947
Gordon's Uncle Douglas ( Brother of Winston Tucker, Prominent lawyer and Scout Commissioner) lived at an estate called "Summer Hill" near Brown's Town in Jamaica. Gordon also had a cousin, Harry Dayes, living on Hope Road in Kingston. The following are some pictures taken in both places. The first six photos were taken at Summers Hill. The estate was famous for growing pimento berries for the production of Jamaica's "Pimento Dram" a local tipple .The last photos included the Carib Theater/cinema at Cross Roads in Kingston and Harry Dayes at his home with Mrs Dayes in Hope Road Kingston. This series was taken in about 1947
Gordon's time at Jamaica College is recorded in the following photos. The last photo in the series is of part of the once famous Hope Gardens which werre adjacent to Jamaica College. The series was also taken in the period 1946-1952
The following photos show some of the student s participating in various activites. The second one is of the school nurse.
